Finding and activating the right market positioning is one of the most important, and one of the hardest, things you’ll do for your agency.Â
Agency owners - often dependent on referrals for generating new business - don’t know the critical role that market positioning plays in attracting new clients and carving out your place in the market.Â
This is nobody’s fault - it’s one of the many things that people don’t tell you when you start an agency (alongside making sure you always have a clean pair of pants handy), but the longer it’s left, the harder it is to do.Â
The reason for this is because well-positioned agencies can say who they are and what they do in the same language as their ideal customer. The more types of client you have, the harder this is to do.Â
So, start with your positioning early in your agency adventure and it will pay dividends for years to come.
