Maze Planner
Maze Planner is our 90-day adventure training regime for smaller agencies who are finding their feet in the marketing industry, but need to develop solid foundational habits, guided by a seasoned expedition leader.
Who is it for?
You are a solo founder or pair of co-founders that are relatively new to running an agency.
Whatever your background, you know you don’t know it all yet.
But you’re savvy enough to realise you don’t know what you don’t know and it’s time to address those weaknesses.
Get dressed, we’re going on an adventure!
It’s for marketing agencies who are growing towards annual turnover of £250K. If you’re already beyond that point you should look into our hivemind group service, Catching Fire.

Maze Planner is ideal for those with complex and specific challenges that need a flexible, embedded, 1-1 mentor presence within the agency, and access to a range of experts with deep knowledge in specialist areas.
What does it solve?
Building an agency with a bright future means acquiring a resilience to meet the First 5 challenges.
How does it work?
The Agency Adventure Guides with a cohort of your agency founder peers are available to you to meet the challenges you face, on a regular monthly basis.
We’re not there just to give you good vibes, although you’ll get plenty of those!
This is about learning and embedding good practices into the core of your agency.
The Maze Planner Adventure includes:
-
Quarterly 1-1 planning sessions with Chris Bantock
-

Big 5 Challenges
Building enough pipeline
How do we get enough of an initial client base to form a bank of case studies and a steady revenue stream? What offer should we be looking to make?
All the gear, no idea
At this stage, cashflow is still king. Money must be spent wisely, or it could derail us. How do we budget sensibly and give ourselves time to grow?
Choosing the right paths to walk
How do we balance time spent on delivery, with time spent on the business itself? We still have to wear a lot of hats, but some fit better than others!
Blind alleys and wild goose chases
While we are perfecting our services and finding what clients value about working with us, how do we avoid taking on the wrong kind of work for the wrong kind of people? Learning to walk our walk with clear vision is never obvious.
Resilience for bigger adventures
How do we ensure our agency grows, beyond what feels initially comfortable. It’s easy to reach a plateau and stay there because the next hill looks steeper and scary. How do we come to trust ourselves and our business to move to the next level?
